Meet us: Clare

We caught up with Clare O’Byrne, our Production Project Manager, to find out more about her.

If you could stage an event anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I’d love to produce a Christmas event in Lapland!

What did you do before your current role and how did you get into working in the industry?

I started off as a tour assistant, travelling the UK on tour with bands such as Girls Aloud. I was then offered a job at a London-based event production company, where I worked on Royal events, celebrity weddings and corporate conferences. Prior to joining Dellar Davies, and during the Covid pandemic, I transitioned into TV production working on shows such as I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. This was a great experience, which I really enjoyed, but I’m happy and excited to be back in live events and joining the Dellar Davies team.

Three essential items to take on-site?

A bumbag, plasters and snacks!

What do you do to unwind after an event?

Sleep!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

“You can’t start too soon.” The sooner you begin planning and thinking about an event, the better. It allows more time to research ideas and to reflect on key learnings from previous events.
