P&O Cruises invited Dellar Davies to produce a studio-based event for their current and prospective customers on the final Friday before Christmas. Themed Upon a Star, the 30 minute broadcast was live-streamed via YouTube from a recording studio in London, and has attracted over 29,000 views. This Christmas event was used as a case study by our virtual studio provider and won Best Event Studio at the Micebook V Awards in 2022.
With gingerbread house decorating, carolling, cocktail making and onboard Xmas shows, the jam-packed programme was hosted by presenter Jo Whiley, along with a special guest star, Santa Claus!
Santa used his golden buzzer – especially made by us for the occasion – to give away some spectacular prizes including cruises on Britannia, Azura and P&O’s soon to be launched, Arvia.
The LED set was animated to make the stars twinkle and the snow fall. The set was adorned by two stunning Christmas Trees, decorated by a renowned London florist, along with lots of colour branded presents, Xmas pine and baskets of baubles.
We also sourced 1500 gingerbread house decorating kits, which were sent to the first 1500 customers to sign up to watch the event. A jolly good time was had by all and it was a wonderfully festive way to end our event year!
