Naming Ceremony Gifts

P&O Cruises new ship, Iona, was due to be launched in 2020 but was delayed due to the coronavirus.

The official naming ceremony finally took place on Sunday 16 May 2021 as an online event, with Dame Irene Hays naming Iona and Gary Barlow performing alongside the ship, which was docked at the cruise terminal in Southampton.

To make the online event a memorable experience for the 2,500 key invitees who had a front row seat in the comfort of their own homes, P&O wanted to send each group of guests – VIPs, media, travel trade, loyal customers, staff and the ship’s crew – a celebration box to enjoy during the event.

Our task was to design and co-ordinate the production of 2500 celebration boxes, including sourcing items that were to be used during the ceremony itself. This had to be achieved within a very short timeframe with all the boxes safely delivered at just the right time for the event.

I just want to let you know I got my box this morning and it’s fantastic – thank you so much for your help. We all really appreciate the time and effort that’s gone into making these boxes so perfect for our event.
