Tracy Phillips promoted to Managing Director
by Helena Moore, Content Manager and Assistant Producer
An exciting development today at Dellar Davies as we announce the promotion of Tracy Phillips to Managing Director, which will see her take on the day-to-day business of the company and our client projects from 1 June 2021.
Our strategy has always been to encourage existing members of the team to develop and grow within the business, with a desire to provide project continuity for our clients and in the belief that internal succession is the best way for us to retain, grow and develop our business – a strategy that has served us well thus far.
Many of you will know Tracy, having worked with her as a client, an event sponsor, or as an attendee at one of the many events she has organised both in the UK and around the world – from The Thames to Tokyo! She joined Dellar Davies in May 2001, initially to work on the launch of Fred. Olsen’s Cruise Ship, Braemar. And most recently – as our Head of Events – she has played an instrumental role in shaping the business and in helping to keep the agency active, when the devastating impact of COVID-19 on the live events sector threatened our existence.
As a highly valued and much-liked member of the team, her appointment has been welcomed by all of her colleagues, who are thrilled for her and for the long-term development of the business. Founder, Elaine Dellar will take on the new role of CEO, working closely with Tracy and focusing on the company’s future goals. Both will continue to work directly with the agency’s clients, supported by our senior account managers and the rest of the Dellar Davies event team.
2020 was a very challenging year for our industry and 2021 will continue to bring more uncertainty for the restart and rebuild of the live events sector, however Dellar Davies transitioned quickly to deliver our clients’ events online last year, and we are delighted that we have had the opportunity to work with an even broader range of clients during this closed period for live events than prior to the pandemic. Our aim is to continue on this trajectory; to work even more closely with the travel and tourism sector that has embraced us so warmly over the past 29 years, and to broaden our client scope as we head into a new era for the business delivering a mix of in-person, blended and online events.
We take this opportunity to wish Tracy every success in her new role.
