Cruise conference

Last week we were in Southampton for the annual CLIA Conference, where we stage managed the conference day at the Guildhall. It was quite literally ‘The Greatest Show’!

There aren’t many one-day conferences that start with a circus – including animatronic elephant; include interviews with a former Lioness and TV barrister with a sharp wit and love of travel; where 10 cruises are given away Cruise Takeaway style; and end with incredible vocals by a recording artist who found fame on BGT.

In between, there was a keynote from CLIA’s President, panel sessions with impressive lineups of cruise line and travel agency leaders, and a sales masterclass with an Olympic twist.

It was a fast-paced production that kept us on our toes from start to finish, but we love it that way!
