Overseas Conference

We’re back from delivering an overseas Conference for our client – The Institute of Travel & Tourism – where we were responsible for the event management, people management, speaker management and technical production of the three-day event. After countless postponements due to Covid-19 and travel restrictions, it was great to finally deliver the ITT Conference in the buzzing city of Istanbul.

Held at the prestigious 5* Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel, the event began with a drinks reception, welcome party, and late night bar before the conference sessions commenced the next day. Over the two days of conference sessions, 30+ conference speakers addressed important industry issues ranging from recruitment with a focus on diversity and inclusion as well as the importance of collaboration, innovation, sustainability, compassion, trust, and reform.

There were ample opportunities for attendees to learn and discuss the future of the travel industry, explore Istanbul through excursions, and to connect with each other at the various social functions we organised. Event highlights included an elegant gala dinner and memorable performance from a Mamma Mia tribute group who kept attendees dancing all night with a lively conga bringing the night to a close. The event ended with a farewell party cruise on the Bosphorus, where there was delicious Turkish cuisine, free-flowing drinks, traditional Turkish entertainment and non-stop on-deck dancing.
